"CCHFV can be found in many species of wild and domestic mammals, including small animals that serve as hosts for immature ticks and hosts of mature ticks are the large herbivores. CCHFV has been isolated from a number of species including cattle, sheep, hares, goats, hedgehogs, mice and dogs (Kemp et al., 2014). Antibodies have been reported in horses, donkeys, pigs, buffalo, rhinoceroses, giraffes and other mammalian species."
